London, UK, September 10, 2017. eRDS APPOINTS JOE AUGUSTINO AS CTO. The company announces today the hiring of Joe Augustino as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its rapid developments in the converging BIM and room data sector. CEO Paul Goodman-Simpson commented ‘Every project uses room data in some form or other and our mission is to bring more professionalism to the discipline by developing solutions that make better use of the information. Joe brings to us a wealth of experience in developing databases for CAD and BIM systems, plus years of knowledge and an understanding of what the industry needs. We are delighted he will be heading up and directing our development team and overseeing the eRDS product portfolio.
Mr Augustino noted ‘There is huge convergence in the AEC technology sector particularly between BIM and facilities management and good information is central to all integrations. Our ongoing development road map will see the core eRDS Cloud product made ready to accept information from any BIM source including Revit and IFC models, and by the end of 2017 we will be releasing several new BIM plugins and a new mobile application for using room data in construction fit-out. I’m pleased to be working in this sector with eRDS at this exciting time’.
