We are passionate about room data and our mission is to harness this knowledge and create exciting new products that make a difference.

Steve Foott, Director.

“Steve has been using and developing Room Data Sheet databases for almost twenty years, starting with the New Norfolk and Norwich Hospital PFI project back in 1998. He translated the data from the NHS ADB system to provide meaningful output relating to the overall requirements and distribution of medical equipment across the entire hospital development. Since then he has written, developed; run or supported comprehensive Room Data Sheet databases for major NHS Projects, Police Headquarters & Stations, Prisons, Fire Stations, County Halls, International Sports Stadiums, significant School PFIs and Historic Houses; working for Laing, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Ashurst,  G4S and Holloway White Allom. He’s also written bespoke RDS databases for individual architects on small projects. These databases were all developed using Microsoft Access; so in 2011 he pooled his RDS expertise with 3Squared, software developers in Sheffield,  to produce an On-Line Room Data Sheet system”

Paul Goodman-Simpson, CEO.

Paul has worked in the oil & gas and BIM industries throughout his career, originally starting out as a piping designer before moving into 2D and 3D software for plant design and the construction sector. He is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of BIM from early stage conceptual design through to construction and then facilities management and operations. Paul’s experience includes deploying BIM technology on several large healthcare projects, data centres, education institutes, high-rise and mixed use schemes.

Michael-Doizi-Young, Chairman.

Michael’s career has always been in property, starting in the City of London with a firm of Chartered Surveyors. Progressively his instinct for development opportunities was recognised and he became skilled in identifying viable schemes for the firm’s clients. He was head-hunted and joined a developer where he continued his work finding sites and instructing professional teams, both in the UK and internationally. Over the years he honed his entrepreneurial skills undertaking development projects in his own right, both as developer and contractor. During this time he realised how difficult it was to obtain sufficient accurate Room Data information to enable him, to not only build, but also manage and maintain his own portfolio. Although theoretically retired, he still enjoys supporting and investing in smaller companies where his knowledge and expertise can add value.

Derek Ednie, Director.

Derek has been in the construction industry all his working life, focusing on high end quality projects requiring the fullest attention to detail and employing the greatest craftsmanship. He has a passion for people, craft skills, restoration and the application of technology in construction. His interest in technology enabled him to team up with a former John Laing colleague Steve Foott, and software house 3Squared to create eRDS, an on-line version of Steve’s Room Data Sheet programme. Today, working with Paul Goodman Simpson of BIM Products the team have created an app enabling direct communication between the eRDS Room Data Sheet system and Revit.

Joe Augustino, Chief Technical Officer.

Joe has extensive experience in developing databases for CAD and BIM systems, plus years of knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the AEC and oil & gas industries. During his career he has developed several 2D and 3D AutoCAD 3rd party applications including the CADPIPE product suite. More recently he has been developing 3D analysis and field software for the BIM and petrochemical sectors.  Joe is responsible for the eRDS Cloud and Field development road map and ensuring the company’s software is BIM ready for all known platforms.
